About
Two writers. One company.
Our Story
Erin Cardillo was a theater kid from Greenwich, Connecticut who went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Performance Studies at Northwestern University. There, she studied acting, writing, and literary adaptation and spent a year in London studying Shakespeare. After NU, she worked as an actress, appearing in feature films and in guest-starring, recurring, and regular roles across broadcast and cable television. Cardillo began her writing career in 2009 developing romantic comedies, including "Isn’t It Romantic," starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth, which was produced by Little Engine and released in theaters by New Line and Warner Brothers in 2019.

Richard Keith grew up splitting his time between Charlotte and Boone, North Carolina, where he was an avid ski-racer. He graduated high school at the age of 16 and moved to New York to pursue an acting career. As an actor, he appeared in feature films and in guest-starring and recurring roles on series such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "Navy: NCIS". He also played the role of "generic boyfriend" in many network sitcoms. Eventually, he segued into writing sketch comedy at ACME Comedy Theater in Los Angeles and directing short films, including festival darling "Grow Up Already," which premiered at The Heartland Film Festival and went on to screen at over a dozen festivals including The Atlantic Film Festival, The Napa Valley Film Festival and LA Shortsfest.
Cardillo & Keith
Cardillo & Keith met in acting class at Warner Loughlin Studios in Hollywood where they honed their skills as performers and as writers trying out new material on classmates, including a feature project Erin developed there called "Speak Now." This film went on to win the Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival in 2013. As a duo, they also won the New York Television Festival’s FOX comedy pilot competition in 2013 for a multi-camera sitcom they created together called "We’re Not Your Parents." This fateful year led to their official partnership and the creation of their banner, IN GOOD COMPANY.

Our Mission
IN GOOD COMPANY is dedicated to telling aspirational stories that have love at the center, whether the story is about romantic love, friendship, family or community. With so much dystopian content circulating, IGC finds purpose in bringing optimism (and laughter) into the world, striving to transport audiences to a state of greater joy. Our stories offer the perspective that (most) people are inherently good and that even in dark times, we have the power to turn things around if we invest in each other. We strive to create worlds we would want to live in and we hope audiences will want to meet us there.
Our History
Since its inception in 2013, IGC has received a development deal at FOX, an overall deal at Warner Brothers Television, and has sold over a dozen television pilots, both for network and streaming.
Projects include wedding dramedy "The I Do Crew" for CW with Little Engine, family comedies "Significant Mother" with Alloy Entertainment and "Life Sentence" with Bill Lawrence and Doozer productions (starring Lucy Hale), both of which went to series on CW in 2015 and 2018, respectively. In 2019 Deadline called them "the most prolific writers in network television" when they sold three pilots in one broadcast season: legal drama "The Family Tree" for ABC with 20th Television and Jason Winer’s Small Dog Pictures, medical drama "3,000 Hours" to NBC with Berlanti, and musical comedy "Nobody’s Princess" with composers Zachary & Weiner to CW. During the pandemic, they went on to sell the TV adaptation of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" at FOX, the supernatural comedic procedural "Pandora’s Box and Ship" at CW with Spondoolie, the family dramedy "Love Me" at ABC with Brownstone Productions, and the YA soap "The Beach" at HBO Max with Alloy, Julie Plec, and Jenna Dewan. After, they developed "This Beautiful Life" for NBC also with 20th and Small Dog Pictures, which had a second script and format ordered, and "Help Me Rhonda" with UCP for NBC, which was the adaptation of the James Patterson novel "Two Sisters Detective Agency" and had Chrissy Metz attached to star.
In addition to IGC development, Cardillo & Keith served as Co-EPs for the second season of "Fuller House" before joining the staff of "Virgin River" in its fifth season.
Our Right Now
Erin Cardillo & Richard Keith just wrapped their fourth season on "Virgin River" on Netflix, joining as Co-Executive Producers in Season 5 and being upped to Executive Producers for Seasons 6–8. Over their tenure on the show, they have written ten episodes, including the two-part Christmas Special. On the feature side, they recently adapted Katherine Center’s novel "The Bodyguard" into a holiday action rom-com titled "Guarding Stars," produced by Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo of Little Engine, which will premiere on Netflix November 18th, 2026. Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum directs with Leighton Meester, Jared Padalecki and Andie MacDowell starring. The duo are currently in development on multiple other projects (original and adaptations) across TV and film, with more news on those upcoming.
In their spare time, they are working on their first novel, "Fall," and raising their respective children. Not necessarily in that order.
